What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Rahway and cover 142 cities and towns across Union, Middlesex, Essex, Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Somerset and Monmouth counties, plus all of Staten Island, NY. That runs from Fair Lawn and Englewood in the north, west through Paterson, Totowa, Fairfield and Madison, south through Plainfield, Piscataway, New Brunswick and Old Bridge to Matawan, Hazlet and Keansburg, and east across the bridges to Staten Island.
What are your hours?
We’re open every day from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Call (908) 333-7086 during those hours and you’ll get a person, not a queue.
Do you do heavy duty towing, or just cars?
Both. Light duty covers everyday cars, SUVs, vans and pickups. Heavy duty covers box trucks, dump trucks, buses, RVs, tractors and trailers. Tell us the vehicle type and rough weight when you call and we’ll send the right truck.
Can you move construction equipment?
Yes — equipment moves are one of our core services. Skid steers, mini excavators, forklifts, scissor lifts, generators, light towers, containers and trailers, moved between job sites, back to the yard, or out to a rental return.
How far will you tow?
As far as you need. We hold interstate operating authority under USDOT #3715786, so long distance and out-of-state hauls are no problem. Give us the pickup and the destination and we’ll quote the whole run upfront.
How does your pricing work?
Towing is normally a hook-up (base) fee plus a per-mile charge, and winch outs and recovery work carry their own rate depending on the situation. We give you those numbers before we roll and you get an itemized receipt after.
Can I choose which shop you tow my car to?
Always. It’s your vehicle. Name the repair shop, body shop, dealer or address and that’s where it goes.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Hercules Towing LLC is a licensed and insured motor carrier operating under USDOT #3715786, with interstate authority. Your vehicle is covered while it’s in our care and we can provide the documentation your insurer needs.
Can you help if I’m locked out or out of gas?
Yes. Jump starts, flat-tire changes, fuel delivery, lockouts and winch outs are all part of what we do — often you don’t need a tow at all, and we’ll tell you that honestly.
My car won’t roll — can you still move it?
Yes. Flat tires, no key, seized brakes, collision damage, or a car that’s been sitting for years — we winch it onto the deck and secure it. Just tell us the condition so we bring the right gear.
